Alcatel announced that its Idol 4S smartphone unveiled during the Mobile World Congress will be launched on the U.S. market on July 15. The premium device comes bundled with a virtual reality (VR) headset.
According to PCMag, Alcatel's Idol 4S is a premium device built with a focus on VR. The smartphone comes with a high-resolution 5.5-inch 2,560-by-1,440 AMOLED Quad HD display and an impressive glass-and-metal build. Aside from the good aesthetics of its exterior, the device comes with solid hardware specs.
The Alcatel Idol 4S comes with 32 GB of internal storage, 3 GB of RAM and an octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor working at 1.8GHz. The premium Alcatel mobile device features a microSD card slot that allows extension of the storage up to 200GB.
All-day usage is ensured by a 3,000mAh battery. The 16-megapixel, rear-facing sensor camera is able to capture 360-degree and 4K video. The camera can also record micro-videos as part of the native camera app. The Idol 4S also provides a front 8-megapixel selfie camera.
