The iPhone 7 is estimated to launch this September, which means that the leaks are coming more frequently now. In fact, a number of photos of the alleged unit have surfaced. The most recent addition is a little more exciting, though as the leak is a video.
According to 9 to 5 Mac, the video came from the Chinese website, Weibo. The video shows two iPhone 7 units, one in Space Gray, and another in Silver. The video is quick and lasts only 7 seconds. Those seven seconds, however, are enough to confirm a few rumors that were previously going around.
Those include the removal of the 3.5mm headphone jack, a larger camera lens and the redesign of the antenna lines. The 3.5mm headphone jack is missing in the video, which only confirms that Apple is paving the road to what is inevitable: multi-use of the lightning cable.
On the other hand, the larger camera lens only confirms the upgrade of the same, possibly for the dual-camera system. Also, the back is much cleaner than the existing iPhone 6 line, because the antenna lines have been limited to the top and bottom curves of the unit.
As Techno Buffalo notes, the devices in the video look a lot like previously leaked photos. While this in no way means a confirmation, it definitely takes it further than before.
The iPhone 7 is expected to come in two other color options: rose gold and gold. Unfortunately, there will be no dark blue option, this time around, contrary to the previous speculation. For this and a number of other reasons, it looks a lot like Apple's current flagship. So for those that were expecting a new look to the device may be a little crestfallen with the new leak.
However, the device is expected to come with the new A10 chip, making it the most powerful handset from Apple. The company is also reportedly dropping the 16 GB option and moving forward with a 32 GB minimum.
There will also be a 256 GB offering this time around. Another issue that Apple will reportedly address is the battery life. The iPhone 7 line is expected to come with a battery that is larger than that belonging to the iPhone 6 by 14 percent.
