Metro: Last Light: New E3 Screenshots Unveiled

Publisher THQ and developer 4A Games’ upcoming action-oriented game title “Metro: Last Light” has received some entirely new screenshots. The latest screenshots prove how amazing the game will look once it hits the store shelves.

Although the game won’t hit stores this year, it is expected that THQ will release an E3 trailer of the game in coming days. The game is set in the year 2034 and, according to the official website, “Beneath the ruins of post-apocalyptic Moscow, in the tunnels of the Metro, the remnants of mankind are besieged by deadly threats from outside – and within.”

“Mutants stalk the catacombs beneath the desolate surface, and hunt amidst the poisoned skies above. But rather than stand united, the station-cities of the Metro are locked in a struggle for the ultimate power, a doomsday device from the military vaults of D6. A civil war is stirring that could wipe humanity from the face of the earth forever,” the official page further adds. ““As Artyom, burdened by guilt but driven by hope, you hold the key to our survival – the last light in our darkest hour…”

“Metro: Last Light,” which is a sequel to “Metro 2033,” is expected to hit storeshelves in the first quarter of 2013 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
