GameStop to Sell Android Tablets with Free Games in 1600 + Stores

The era of standalone, handheld gaming consoles could be nearing an end - the no. 1 retailer of video games, GameStop, has expanded its lineup of Android tablets across in its 1600+ stores nationwide in a bid to tap into the growing demand of gamers who are turning to smartphones and tablets for their gaming needs.

To increase the sales, GameStop has arrived at an effective, strategic plan of presenting promos such as free games for every tablet such as Sonic CD and Riptide. The tablets, ranging from Asus Transformer Prime and Toshiba Excite to the Samsung Galaxy Tab and the Acer Iconia, are priced upwards of $229.99. Not only that, the company is also giving shoppers an option to either upgrade or trade-in old stuff such as consoles, iPod, iPhone or an iPad.
