Warsaw, Poland-based video game publisher CD Projekt RED has just announced that their new RPG, “The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings,” has sold about 1.7 Million Copies so far. Although most will feel that this number is nothing compared to other new titles, let’s say “Diablo 3,” the number is actually pretty impressive for a PC exclusive title.
According to a DSOGaming report, with such massive success for a small developing company like CD Projekt RED for the game, it will now be interesting to see how many copies the company will be selling on Xbox 360, which is yet to be revealed by the Polish company.
“The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings” Enhanced Edition has offered an absorbing and an established storyline that has defined a whole new normal for realistic, non-linear game narration. The game has a combination of gorgeous visuals and vibrant action, and puts players in a living and realistic world.
The game, on Xbox 360, is immaculately adapted for the finer console experience and provides significant improvements to the critically-acclaimed PC title. Moreover, the game boasts of nearly 45 hours of gameplay in a single playthrough. This includes more than four hours of never before seen quests and new gameplay and story elements.
