"May 31st would be the big day" written in a post by a Microsoft official recently grabbed the attention of the Windows fans. That post vanished quickly but did give a hint that the Windows 8 Release Preview may be available quicker than expected.
According to the blog post that vanished, Microsoft is planning to release its new operating system a little bit earlier than expected. They promised to release Windows 8 Release Preview in the first week of June. But the latest post on Thursday was published with a download link and the plans of releasing the Release Preview version. The link is not working now but is mentioned to go live from this Friday.
Another post about Microsoft's SkyDrive says Windows 8 Release Preview is all set to make its appearance in the first week of June. The old vanished post gave some insight into the way the latest operating system is built and designed. There are some tools like Windows Driver kit (WDK) and Windows 8 SKD included with Visual Studio that can help users to create Metro style device apps and high-quality drivers. Users will be able to debug the drivers, build, write and sign packages and test drivers directly using Visual Studio.
The New Windows Hardware Certification kit can ensure dependability and compatibility of devices. But users have to download Visual Studio Professional 2012 and the Windows Driver Kit 8 separately with the Windows 8 Release Preview to enjoy these features. Microsoft's SkyDrive post also described a feature users will enjoy in Windows 8, photo transferring feature from one PC to another. Users will be able to fetch images from other SkyDrive-installed PC no matter how many photos the user wants to transfer or where he is.
SkyDrive's MacOS app, Windows app and the Windows Phone client are already upgraded and the paid users can now enjoy 100GB of storage. Microsoft officials didn't release any information about the final Windows 8 release but it is expected to be in the market in this October.
