The pop icon and artist behind the song "Poker Face" is not ending her engagement with fiancée Taylor Kinney. Lady Gaga recently posted her relationship status on Instagram.
The singer was seen recently in Cabo with her family without her engagement ring. Speculations arose that the couple's 5 year relationship had ended.
In her Instagram post, Gaga said that she believed that she and Kinney are soulmates and that they really love each other. She also said that they would like to concentrate on their careers as two ambitious artists.
"Just like all couples we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break," she wrote on Instagram. "We are both ambitious artists, hoping to work through long-distance and complicated schedules to continue the simple love we have always shared. Please root us on."
Gaga started to work on her new songs and Kinney flew back to Chicago. It was speculated that the couple was struggling with their long distance relationship. Her post on Instagram confirmed that the assumption was true.
Kinney is based in Chicago and plays the role of Kelly Severide in the TV drama "Chicago Hope." He also played the role of Mason Lockwood in "The Vampire Diaries" and Glenn Morrison in "Trauma." In 2015, Kinney was nominated for Favorite Dramatic TV Actor by the People's Choice Award.
