There may have been a slight revelation to George R.R. Martin's sixth instalment of "A Song of Ice and Fire" entitled "Winds of Winter." This clue was rather taken a while back but hasn't been put into clarity until just now.
At an episode of "Last Week Tonight with John Oliver" two years ago, George R.R. Martin guested on the account of giving an update for his book, "Winds of Winter." However, it wasn't until recently that the fans were able to decipher the page of the book that was partially seen during the interview.
It was also during this interview that George R.R. Martin joked about killing off three of the host's favourite characters. Oliver and the fans of the book were dismayed at the information, although it wasn't really proven to be true.
Reports claim that the page George R.R. Martin was holding out during the interview contained Asha's chapter, practically revealing a spoiler alert for the book. According to International Business Times, the picture revealed Martin writing from the point of view of Asha Greyjoy.
Based off the photo that was dug out after two years, the chapter revealed the words "Lord Reaper of Pyke," and "fashioned in the shape of the Twin Tower of House of Frey." The fans who analysed these words assumed that Asha may probably meet a couple of mercenaries in "Winds of Winter."
Vine Report said that there were other lines deciphered by the fans of the show from the screenshot of George R.R. Martin's guest appearance two years ago, including the words "...leader of the.. wore sellsword plate and mail.." and "...Asha knew. The old northman had fought..."
Since the words were only extracted from a screenshot of the show and was not spoiled by George R.R. Martin himself, there is only so much that the fans could get out of it.
