Gamer Uses Bot To Reach 'Pokemon Go' Max Level

Finally, a "Pokemon Go" player was able to reach "Pokemon Go's" level cap of 40, but he used a bot in order to achieve this performance.

According to Eurogamer, hitting the level maximum 40 in the "Pokemon Go" highly popular game is extremely difficult. From around level 30 onwards, it is very difficult to climb higher because "Pokemon Go's" leveling system seriously stretches out the needed XP.

For instance, between levels 39 and 40, the player would need an impressive 5m XP. This is actually as much as a tenth of the full amount it takes to go from zero to 40.

The total cumulative XP required to reach level 40 is 20 million points. It is incredibly difficult to earn such an amount of XP since a single PokeStop log-in is worth just a measly 50 XP,

There are some strategies for gaining XP quicker. However, up to date the only way level 40 has been reached in "Pokemon Go" is by using a bot.

Luca, a "Pokemon Go" player who goes by _problemz Reddit name, reported that he managed to reach the game's cap by using a script. The bot sent his character around, automatically hunting for Pokemon.

Luca explains that he also bought and used 125 Lucky Eggs. The Lucky Eggs are items able to double user's XP for 30 minutes. After reaching the maximum level in "Pokemon Go" game, Luca posted his findings to the Pokémon Go Reddit. In his game, the player never used Pokemon Gyms, to not be unfair to other players.

The Verge reports that the reason why Luca achieved this performance in "Pokemon Go" is the fact that he was curious about the level progression. Out of curiosity, he developed his software bot to gather as much XP as possible until the end of the game.

Luca was the first to discover that the "Pokemon Go" game stops after you progress at level 40. A collection of screenshots he took is the only concrete proof confirming his impressive feat:
