iPhone 7 ‘Protoype’ In Midnight Blue Unveiled By Unbox Therapy; September Release Expected

The iPhone 7 "Prototype" model was reportedly shown at Unbox Therapy on August 3. The show's host showed one prototype sporting a midnight blue color.

The YouTube video channel host, Lewis Hilstenger said that he got the prototype from BeSound, a China based company that is currently raising capital for its noise cancelling earphones. The upcoming iPhone 7 Plus features the dual camera.

If this prototype is the real thing, then the Smart Connector rumor has been confirmed. The color of Midnight Blue came as a surprise to many. The usual buttons are in the same place. There have been earlier speculations that the mute switch will be removed. The video has shown that such rumors are inaccurate provided that this prototype is genuine.

There is only one hardware feature missing from the iPhone 7 prototype - the headphone jack. It does not come as a surprise since many were already expecting it. Still, the loss of the headphone jack comes as a disappointment to many. As compensation, Apple did place two speaker grills in place of the missing jack.

Lewis made a comparison between the current smartphone plus model and the upcoming one. The presenter measured the two models with caliper. It seems that the iPhone 7 Plus is slightly slimmer than the 6 Plus. Still, the iPhone 7 with its 5.5-inch screen retains the distinction of being the biggest smartphone.

It's pretty safe to assume that Apple is now in the process of producing pretty large quantities of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Even if the company wants to keep their new product secret that would be impossible since a lot of suppliers are involved.

Observers believed that the iPhone 7 video leak shown by Unbox Therapy is possibly the most accurate news yet about the upcoming Apple smartphone, according to Forbes. Apple is set to launch its newest and most anticipated product this September.
