Samsung's newest addition to the Galaxy series, Galaxy S3 is ready to be supported by five different US carriers at once. But the device won't be loaded with the quad-core Exynos processor like the international version launched in India and Europe.
Samsung announced their plan this Monday. Popular carriers like AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon and Sprint will be joined by U.S. Cellular in this plan. But Galaxy S3's retail availability and exact price was not disclosed in this announcement. People are expecting to see a 4G LTE and HSPA+ 42 version of Samsung Galaxy S3 on Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile.
This latest addition to the popular Galaxy series features Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), 1.5GHz dual-core CPU (as opposed to the 1.4GHz quad-core CPU in international version), 2GB RAM and a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass.
The device is expected to be priced $199 upwards depending on internal storage and wireless carrier.
"Galaxy S III is optimized for peak performance on the fastest 4G LTE and HSPA+ 42 networks in the U.S.," Samsung said in their announcement.
