Miley Cyrus is set for her much-awaited comeback in the acting industry as she joins the stellar cast of Woody Allen’s first Amazon series, “Crisis In Six Scenes.” On the recently concluded Television Critics Association Press Day, Amazon announced that the new show will make its debut on September 30.
The young actress and singer’s casting on “Crisis in Six Scenes” was revealed early this year. According to the Daily Mail, “Crisis in Six Scenes” is the first significant acting role for Miley since her guest appearance on the sitcom “Two and a Half Men” in 2012. To recall, her last movie was “Jeremy Scott: The People's Designer” in 2015.
Amazon has high hopes for this series as it is tapped to be the next big success in the streaming arena. Cosmopolitan reported that “Crisis in Six Scenes” is a comedy that takes place in the 1960s during turbulent times in the United States, when a middle-class suburban family is visited by a guest who turns their household completely upside-down.
Although the television show is positioned to run for only one season and is packed with six episodes, we could only expect better news soon with teasers and leaks about its content. The said series stars the Director himself, Woody Allen, along with Miley Cyrus, Elaine May, Rachel Brosnahan, John Magaro and Michael Rapaport.
The famous star was spotted sporting a long blonde wig clad in 60’s inspired clothes during a shoot in Sleepy Hollow, New York. Hannah Montana fans will surely support the young actress on this new exciting project.
As the sneak peek is making rounds online, one can only expect a great sense of humour and a powerful cast and production team. Our September will commence with comedic elegance and beautiful entertainment then.
