Nick Johnson is the first "Pokemon Go" player who has been able to catch all of the available Pokemon monsters in the popular mobile game.
According to Venture Beat, the player from New York has completed his global quest to catch all Pokemon creatures in Sydney, Australia. His journey has been sponsored by Expedia. The last creature caught by Johnson in Sydney was the region-specific Pokémon Kangaskhan.
Within the first two weeks of the "Pokemon Go" release, Johnson was able to catch all 142 characters available in the U.S of the 151 total number of various Pokemon monsters in the game. Since then, Johnson's total Pokémon number of monster has risen to 145, due to his international efforts.
Among the total number of Pokemon monsters available in the game, there are hree that are exclusively available in Australia, Asia and Europe. The remaining six Pokemon characters are yet to be released. A total of 5,000 Pokémon monsters have been caught by Johnson so far.
Managing director of Expedia Brand for Australia and New Zealand, Georg Ruebensal, said that the company is delighted to have been able to help the player travel to catch all the Pokemon in the game. According to Ruebensal, "Pokemon Go" game is turning players into travelers, getting people outside their own cities to explore local landmarks and encouraging people to become tourists.
Johnson lost eight to ten pounds during his quest to catch all the Pokemon. According to the player, his weight loss happened during the first two weeks from all the walking. Among the famous world landmarks he visited during his quest are the Eiffel Tower and the Sydney Opera House.
According to Business Insider, when other players heard about Johnson's accomplishment many people started to downplay it by saying that they also had managed to collect all 145 characters currently available in the game. All those players have also said that they actually did not need to go on an international journey to catch all those far-off Pokemon characters worldwide.
The easy way to accomplish this is to simply hatch the Pokemon eggs randomly distributed to players. But on the Reddit's Silph Road community for "Pokemon Go" players many have expressed their skepticism about whether or not it is actually possible to hatch from those eggs the three internationally-available exclusive Pokémon. However, Silph Road user CSULBPaintsniffer has scientifically demonstrated that this accomplishment is actually possible.
