While Microsoft is finalizing the details of their upcoming Surface Pro 5, rumors are now circulating that the new Surface Pro device will feature a 4K Ultra HD display. It would be the first for the series if that happens. The report claims that it may not really come with a standard 4K panel screen. It was assumed that the tech giant might offer it as an upgrade, while other models of Surface Pro 5 will possibly go with a more conventional 2K screen.
According to Yibada, the introduction of this upcoming devices will be made in the following months, most probably in December 2016. They also mentioned the company's plans in regards to Xbox One S, Surface Phone and the rumored Surface AIO desktop. It is reportedly predicted that the earliest time to unbox these devices would be during the first half of 2017.
According to Trusted Reviews, the Surface Pro 5 will feature new 7th generation Kaby Lake processors from Intel. These tiny processors are not out in the market yet, but it will come as 14nm successor to Intel's existing Skylake. The Kaby Lake CPUs are projected to have better efficiency. This could mean a better performance and battery life. Unfortunately, the new information does not show further details on a potential release date. However, the new processors would not enter volume production until the year's end. If Microsoft pushes the Kaby Lake, they would delay the introduction by early 2017.
The upcoming Surface devices do not necessarily need changes on the physical designs, but Microsoft will offer some shy improvements. As for the Surface Pro 5, the upcoming 2 in 1 Windows 10 device is seen to have exactly the same feature upgrades as Book 2. Though the release date of the Surface pro 4's sequel remains unclear, it will still be most expected by fall of 2016.
