With Team USA rolling en route of bringing another gold medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics, the drama off the court is intense than inside the court. NBA trade rumors are still hunting the players and the squad in Rio is now an active target. Sacramento Kings star big man, DeMarcus Cousins is not new to this trade rumors.
Last offseason, Cousins has been constantly linked to the likes of Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers. And according to Sports Rageous, Cousins' Olympic teammate and Cleveland Cavalier star Kyrie Irving reportedly recruits the big fella to their team. Sources also said that the two is having a great chemistry on the court during the Olympic run. If this will happen, we could possibly see another big three on the team, considering Cousins will replace Kevin Love who is now a potential trading piece.
Supposedly Cousins agrees to join Kyrie and LeBron to make another championship push, there are some potential trade options in order to make this happen. First, Love, being a big man who can space the floor would be a great addition to the Kings roster. While the team has already been on the process of trading some of their players like Rudy Gay, Kosta Koufus and Ben McLemore, there is a possibility that one of these trades will be linked on bringing Love to the Kings.
Next is that, the Kings were previously showing their interest on last year's 2nd overall pick D'Angelo Russell because of their need to get a top-notched point guard. But According to Yibada, the team has not given up to the idea of bringing in Russell. With the recently finished NBA Draft, the team has offered Los Angeles their star Bigman for Russell and their 2nd overall pick, which turns out to be Brandon Ingram.
Assuming that the rumors are true, Kings could involve the Lakers and made a potential three-way trade. Cousins will go to Cleveland, Kevin Love will come home to LA and the Kings could get D'Angelo plus either Larry Nance or Julius Randle. However, there are no further details to support these rumors. These assumptions are just also based on the latest rumors and the King's unwillingness to directly trade Cousins for Love.
