CD Projekt Red has been hinting on the release of the Game of the Year edition long before the year started. According to sources, an Enhanced Edition will be the next project for their multi-awarded open world adventure, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The developer formerly confirmed that a Game of the Year iteration was on the way last month. Finally, after some series of rumors surrounding the game, it has now a release date and an impressive new trailer.
According to PC Gamer, the Game of the Year Edition of 'The Wither 3: Wild Hunt' will be available on August 30. The upcoming edition will include all the DLCs that have been previously released. It will also include the base games, Blood and Wine and Hearts of Stone expansion packs. Based on the official website of the critically praised video game, the upcoming Game of the Year Edition will be available on Xbox One, PC and PS4. The new edition will be called 'The Withcer 3: Wild Hunt' Complete Edition on some select territories and sales channels.
According to the reports from Yibada, game director of CD Projekt Red, Konrad Tomaszkiewcz, wrote on the PlayStation's official blog saying that the upcoming edition will include both of the game's expansion packs plus all of its additional contents. He said that the video game and all its additional contents is the fruit of their 5 years of hard work. He also added that the Game of the Year Edition will highlight substantial changes to the game's mechanics and UI.
The two expansions will enable players to enjoy everything that the game can offer. It will feature a brand new region, new areas, new weapons, new items, new set of enemies to overthrow and many more. It will also come with its new features like Runewords and new Mutation. Tomaszkiewcz thanked all of its players and the game community for the endless support that they have offered for the game. This inspires them in creating the best role playing game by far.
