Being able to catch and own rare Pokemon on Pokemon GO is a huge achievement. But of course, there is more to that, like catching Legendary creatures. And most certainly, a player cannot be a master trainer without owning at least one or two of them.
First and foremost, according to Nintendo News, Legendary Pokemon GO creatures such as Articuno, Moltres and Zapdos are already confirmed to be part of the game. So, contrary to popular belief, they already exist. But the big hurdle that remains is how players can acquire them.
Catching Articuno And Other Legendary Pokemon In Pokemon GO
Truth is, Pokemon GO players are yet to have the means to catch Articuno and the rest of Legendary Pokemon. From Mewtwo to Zapdos to Moltres to Mew, catching them is believed to be close to impossible. In fact, they are even missing on the list of all 151 creatures on the game's Pokedex.
What Do These Pokemon GO Creatures Represent
In their most organic form, Articuno along with Zapdos and Moltres represent the three Pokemon GO teams. When players reach level 5, they are asked to join a specific team and start conquering gym after gym. And take note, each of these gyms are symbolized by a silhouette of a legendary bird. Could catching either one be linked to a trainer's team of choice? Well, most likely.
The Pokemon GO Rumor About Articuno In Ohio
Almost all Pokemon GO players will agree that, in one way or another, a way to catch the aforementioned Pokemon is yet to be determined. However, as reported by VG247, Articuno is already believed to be owned by a trainer.
The only catch, though, is it was gifted to him by Niantic. Nonetheless, it remains a mystery if the generous gift was a result of a bug or glitch or if its appearance at an Ohio gym is just fake.
Legendary Pokemon GO Creatures Are Included In The Game's Files
Yes, reports suggest that these Pokemon GO species have been included in the game's files. In fact, apart from the above-mentioned Legendary Pokemon, the likes of Mewtwo and Mew have made it to the list. So, in a sense, they are waiting for Niantic's Go signal.
