Pokemon GO, just like any other game out there - be it on mobiles or pc/consoles - is also exploited by cheaters. And as the title's popularity snowballs each day, the number of these exploiters increase significantly. To resolve the situation, Niantic has started banning the said users. The process will cover trainers who tend to break the rules under its terms of services.
According to the official Twitter account of Pokemon GO, the studio is currently going after all users utilizing GPS spoofing accounts. Above all, they are trying to subdue players who are not following the announced terms of services. The ban will cover even those who have played the game since its first release.
Without a doubt, this is good news for loyal Pokemon GO players who play the game with integrity and honesty. Think about all the hurdles they have to go through in order to catch Pokemon and/or attack/defend gyms, while cheaters do it the easier way.
Otakukart notes that Pokemon GO players who have reached level 34 will surely to be banned. Why? That is because such level is synonymous to a great amount of work. Literally speaking, it should take trainers years of walking just to reach it.
Moreover, there are also reports of Pokemon GO players utilizing third party cheat engines. These are tools designed to beat the game without a sweat. By using such systems, trainers are able to catch Pokemon (even the rarest ones) without having to walk a single meter.
In fact, there are Pokemon GO cheat engines that allow players to know the exact location of Pokemon. While there are legit ones, some just directly break the stated rules in the game's terms of services. With the amount of complaints coming from the player pool, it is no wonder Niantic is taking such a huge step.
