Asus will be one of the several companies that will be introducing new products at IFA 2016 in Berlin. The Taiwanese electronics company is reportedly unmasking their newest smartwatch, the ZenWatch 3, during the said event on August 31. Earlier, some photos of the alleged ZenWatch 3 started to circulate around the online world. But it has not been confirmed yet and there are no further evidence about the claim. According to the reports, it indicates that the upcoming smartwatch will feature a round design as well.
The latter ZenWatch 2 was an affordable installment of the ZenWatch series. It features a stylish appearance that comes with three color variants. Its physical appearance alone made it an elegant watch that can astound on any of the deluxe and fashionable straps offered for it. But its downside is that it did not give any edge from the features of the original ZenWatch. According to The Verge, the two previous ZenWatches are like basically the same devices with their pretty similar features and specs.
According to IBT, Asus could possibly have a major restart on their ZenWatch series this year. The next generation of smartwatch could come with a new round body instead of the previous square shaped physique. This is based on the several leaks and rumors surfacing around the internet. As seen on the leaked photos, the round frame of the watch is bordered by a gold ring which is great divergence against the purely black color of the body and strap of the rumored prototype. The device could possibly have a two-tone texture on the front and maybe as well as on the back.
The ZenWatch 3 could also feature a distinct magnetic ring charging framework that can be attached to the bottom of the wearable easily. Other rumored features and specs of the new smartwatch were accounted by the FCC documents. According to the source, the ZenWatch 3 will come with a stainless steel body and will have a Wi-Fi 802,11n and Bluetooth 4.2 support. However, there are no other information aside from the leaked images and there is also a possibility of having some changes to the rumored features until its official introduction on August 31 at the IFA.
