'Vikings' Season 4 Update: Death Of Ragnar Lothbrok, Rise Of Ivar The Boneless And More!

The eleventh episode in Season 4 of the popular History Channel TV series, Vikings, will be out in a few months. Several speculations surround the internet as to what will happen to Ragnar Lothbrok and the entire Viking community.

One of the most popular theories is that Floki, Ragnar's once most trusted friend, will have the guts to betray him. There are also some who says that Ragnar will die due to his old age.

The famous man who sailed to the west returns to Kattegat to either claim the throne from his son, Ivar the Boneless or to either meet his death.

Theory #1: Ragnar Will Die in Battle

The second half of Season 4 could be the last time that the fans will see Travis Fimmel play Ragnar Lothbrok. There are some rumors that the famous Viking king will only be featured in a very brief moment.

He will either die as a prisoner or in a sword fight.

Theory #2: Ragnar Lothbrok Will Die Because of Old Age

The second half of Viking Season 4 starts with a time jump, six years after the events of Season 4's first half. Six years is a lot of time, considering that the children of Ragnar are still young when he left them.

Now they have grown as young adults. He left them after experiencing a crushing defeat against his brother Rollo, who had already sided with the Christian Franks.

Bjorn has already proved to be a leader as he led many battles, while Ivar the Boneless has become king. All of Ragnar's sons have proven to be a true Vikings.

Theory #3: Ragnar Will Die Inside a Snake Pit in Northumbria

There are rumors that Floki will betray Ragnar and sell him to King Aelle in Northumbria. There has been a gap between the two friends after Floki killed Athelstan, who is beloved to Ragnar.

This time, Floki will exact his revenge after seeing Ragnar as a wrong leader, and give him to Aelle to die inside a pit of snakes. The death of Ragnar will then motivate his sons to raise the Great Heathen Army to have the revenge for their father's death.

The snake pit theory also has a greater reason to happen because based on historical evidence, Ragnar Lohtbrok really died inside King Aelle's pit of snakes.

Will episode 11 be the end of Ragnar Lothbrok's life? Viewers need to wait for the premiere of Viking Season 4 Episode 11 this coming fall.
