Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 – New E3 2012 Trailer Released

Publisher Activision and developer Treyarch have revealed an entirely new E3 trailer for their upcoming FPS (first person shooter) game “Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.”

The new trailer was featured exclusively in this year’s E3 and has not been released anywhere else. This new 5 minutes trailer showcases a lot of the game’s campaign mode.

“Black Ops 2” is the first game in the “Call of Duty” franchise to have a completely futuristic setting and future warfare technology. It also presents branching storylines driven by player choice for the first time in the franchise's history.

Although it is expected to be an exciting prospect for gamers all over the planet, some believe that the “Call of Duty” series is set to slowly wrap up within the next two years due to some of its many longtime developers' contracts nearing end.

While the previous “Black Ops” also took place with a Cold War era setting, this game marks the beginning of a new Cold War. This time the contenders are the United States and China. This is a direct sequel to the earlier game and takes place in the year 2025. The gamer plays as David Mason, son of the legendary Alex Mason, the protagonist of the previous game.

“Call of Duty: Black Ops 2” is slated for a November release on Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
