There have been new updates on the condition of F1 racer Michael Schumacher saying that he has indeed been responding to treatments. His family and friends are hopeful, despite the slow progress that Schumacher has been making.
False speculations have been getting around lately, saying that Michael Schumacher is deteriorating, and not responding to treatments. This may have been led by his family's choice to keep his condition private and away from the knowledge of the media.
Michael Schumacher Responding To Treatment Positively
However, according to Daily Mail, ex-Ferrari chairman Luca Cordero di Montezelmo says that he is very pleased to know how Michael has been responding to his treatments recently. He admits how this time is very crucial to him and his family as well. He, however, believes that Michael is strong and determined that the racer will get out of this condition, even if it may be at a slow pace.
As it can be recalled, Schumacher was led to this condition due to a skiing accident that happened in the French Alps, back in 2013. The incident has happened almost three years ago already and much to everyone's dismay, his progress has been slow; yet progress is still progress and it is something that his family has been holding onto.
Schumacher's family's financial troubles
There have also been reports that Schumacher's family has been having financial troubles, as his medicines and treatment already cost a fortune. Daily Star reported that his family is selling their Mercedes E55 AMG car to cope up with the expenses.
Prior to those speculations, it has also been reported that the family has sold their private jet and vacation house as well. However, his family is not alone in this battle. Just recently, friends of the F1 race conducted a football game to raise funds that will help in Schumacher's medical bills.
Schumacher's children, on the other hand, are succeeding in their own fields. His daughter is recently won a European Championship gold medal in equestrian, while his son Mick has followed his footsteps in the F1 racing world.
