Despite no confirmation yet on the renewal of "Girl Meets World," fans have remained hopeful for its eventual follow-up season's release. However, controversies surrounding one of the main members of the series' cast have started spreading around, allegedly causing the delay or cancellation of season four.
Rowan Blanchard's alleged ill behaviour
There have been reports claiming that actress Rowan Blanchard has been showing ill behaviour towards one of her co-stars of the show, Sabrina Carpenter, as well as the other people on set. On her Twitter account, Rowan expressed her dismay and disappointment over these allegations, saying she was hurt that she is being accused of those things, according to Movie News Guide.
On her post, she added how much she and the cast of "Girl Meets World" all love each other and how they have been having a hard week, as it may possibly be their last time together on set of the series. Although there hasn't been any confirmation yet that the show is indeed being cancelled, there is no news on its renewal as well. Needless to say, fans are quite on the edge here.
"Girl Meets World" on Freeform
There are also rumors that "Girl Meets World" may just be aired on another network, Freeform, based on the speculations. Fans are now hoping that this is true, since it doesn't matter to them that it won't air on Disney Channel anymore, as long as it continues to air its fourth season.
The logic behind its change in networks has been well accepted by the fans. It is no secret that the characters on the series are already growing up, thus maybe tackling a more mature storyline in the future. Its fourth season may also reflect the maturity of the cast with the maturity of the characters that they portray on "Girl Meets World."
If the series is going to be officially renewed for season four, it may have been hinted by its finale where the series' cast met with their predecessor, "Boy Meets World," which is currently being aired on Freeform.
