The Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice movie revealed numerous superheroes that are present in the DC Extended Universe. With the Justice League movie that will officially come next year, fans will see these superheroes team up. After Justice League, a solo movie from one of the Justice League members is set to follow on 2018. The follow up movie is entitled "The Flash" which stars Ezra Miller. While it is indeed a solo film, reports say that he will not be alone. Based on the leaks, Flash's fellow Justice League teammate, Cyborg, will make his special appearance on the solo movie.
According to Variety, earlier this year, producer Deborah Snyder hinted at Cyborg's addition on the projected solo movie and now it has been confirmed officially. Ray Fisher will reprise his role as Cyborg in 'The Flash.' However, his role on the film still remains unclear. This will be Cyborg's third appearance on the DCEU. His first appearance was on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and on the upcoming Justice League. On the other hand, Flash also briefly appears on the box office hit Suicide Squad. Both characters will be officially introduced on Justice League along with the star studded roster of DC superheroes.
According to Cinema Blend, Cyborg's appearance on The Flash is DCEU's alternative way on building connectivity between various areas of this world. However, the situation is not common nowadays. What happened on Captain America: Civil War is a primary example. And we'll possibly see the Hulk's return on the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok. Likewise, it is expected for Cyborg to assist Flash in fighting the main antagonist of the movie. Perhaps, it will just be a passive role from the half-human half-machine hero which is very unlikely.
The Flash is set to be launched on theatres around 2018. The film is directed by Rick Famuyiwa and starring Ezra Miller as Barry Allen a.k.a The Flash.
