'Dragonball: Xenoverse 2' Update: Will Enter Open Beta; New Character And Game Mode Revealed

Upcoming Dragonball: Xenoverse 2 will be officially launched two months from now. Luckily, players have been granted initial access to the game before the official release. Bandai Namco, the game's publisher, has announced that the game will enter open beta together with an Expert Mission multiplayer mode and a new character.

According to Gamespot, further details regarding the open beta release will be announced soon. But it is highly expected that players will be granted a chance to explore the new hub area called Conton City. The new hub is reported to be much larger than the latter game's hub. This is where players gather their quests, items and training.

In addition to the announcement of the beta release, a new character is set to return to the game. This character that is to be included is Vegeta in his most dreaded form. Although his normal form will also be included in the game, the Majin Vegeta receives so much hype. According to Nerdist, Majin Vegeta's transformation was part of his redemption. The transformation also causes him to be faster and stronger.

Lastly, the new multiplayer mode will initially be composed of six players to battle against giant NPC bosses. It is rumored to be some of the most powerful characters in the series. Plus, new single player mode will feature twice the number of quests than the latter Xenoverse 1. Some quests are parallel to the original game and will introduce a new system for the rare drops which will now contain accessories and costumes.

According to latest rumors, Bandai Namco is planning on adding more characters on the game before its official release. Meanwhile, Dragonball: Xenoverse 2 will be available on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC this coming October 25. It will be featuring a cameo appearance and music remixes by renowned DJ Steve Aoki.
