'Pokemon Go' Guide: Max CP Chart Per Level Revealed

A Pokemon's CP or Combat Points are one of the essential attributes to the massive hit game Pokemon Go. Combat points determined the strength of your Pokemon during Pokemon Battle. Wild Pokemon are given random combat points every time you encountered one. That means even if you caught identical Pokemon specie, its combat point are not necessarily the same.

You can also power up your Pokemon to increase its combat points by using the in-game resources Stardust and an exclusive Pokemon candy. However, if you powered your Pokemon up too early, you might be wasting some resources. According to Eurogamer, combat points is the cumulative value of each of the Pokemon's hidden base stats; Attack, Defence and Stamina respectively.

What is a Pokemon IV?

Pokemon IV is one of the trickiest part in playing the game. IV is the hidden Level and a hidden modifier for the Pokemon's base stats. Players are left out guessing on how to maximize their Pokemon's potential because of this feature's secrecy. According to reports, it will be considered as perfect IV when each of the base stat is given 15 points each.

How to know that your Pokemon is at maximum Level?

Your Pokemon's combat points and its current level is represented by a number above your Pokemon with a white arc below the number. The arc will move up whenever you power up your Pokemon. It has been explained before that the cap is always 1.5 above the trainer's level and will increase over time. A full bar indicates that your Pokemon is at its maximum level at the moment but it does not mean your CP is at maximum too.
