American singer Barbara Streisand teases a possible final version release of the upcoming iOS 10 after she personally called Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, to fix several issue with Siri. She said on her interview that Siri still could not pronounce her name well. According to Streisand, Tim Cook personally said that they will be attending to her concerns regarding Siri and will be fixed by the next update by September 30. She also added that she is thrilled to see how the next update will transcend expectations.
According to Techno Buffalo, Siri will be revamped on the new iOS. A much improved and much smarter version will debut on the new iPhones that will be launched next month. However, details are still unclear regarding on the new operating system to run on older Apple devices. In addition, it has been reported that Apple will be launching the new set of iPhones in September 7 which appears to be earlier than the September 30 update. But if it will be based on Streisand's statement, the release date for the next iPhones would most likely to be delayed.
According to Yibada, Apple will release their new operating system together with their new set of iPhone devices sometime in the middle of September. It has been previously reported that iPhone 7 will be released on September 16. It could be that the rumored September 30 release date would just be an iOS 10 update with the latter being expected to be released alongside iPhone 7. On the hand, Apple did not issue any statement regarding Streisand's comments.
Some said that theoretically, it was perhaps a marketing stunt between Streisand and Cook to hint a possible final version release date of the new iOS coming out of beta. Currently, iOS 10 is on its beta 6 for non-developers and beta 7 for the developers. However, details are still unclear until Apple announces an official statement regarding the official release.
