Basically, there are three big events that will feature the grandest revelation and announcement of games. These three major events happen annually participated by the biggest developers all over the globe. These three events are E3 that will happen in June, Gamescom in August and the Tokyo Game Show sometime in September. This year, one of the most storied franchise is set to be introduced on one of these events. Based on the reports, Capcom will be bringing 'Resident Evil 7' to the Tokyo Game Show 2016. Despite of being featured on the last E3 and Gamescom 2016 event, Capcom said that they will be bringing more new game updates in this year's Tokyo Game Show.
According to Yibada, during the Gamescom 2016 presentation, 'Resident Evil 7' released a trailer and demo that showcased more game elements and numerous secrecies that surround the game's plot and even more so, to its characters. After the event, questions are raised by some of the fans due to the confusion of what will be the final output of the game. With their participation on the Tokyo Game show, fans are hopeful for their questions to be answered, mainly for the plot summary and its main character's identity.
Reports also say that the released demo version has something in common on the gameplay with 'Beginning Hour' but it is more straightforward compared to the latter. According to Gamerant, fans are inclined on the plot development and gameplay though they still like the idea of having mysteries on the game. Masachika Kawata, the game's producer, stated that the main character of the upcoming 'Resident Evil' game will be more 'ordinary' compared to the previous main characters of the franchise.
Capcom explained that the game is not an uncanny 'ghost story' as everyone expects it to be. But stating that they are still sticking the usual elements of the game while adding new elements to it. While there are now further details for it yet. Capcom encourages fans to wait for future updates to be revealed soon. 'Resident Evil 7' will be released on January 14, 2017 for PlayStation 4, PS VR, Xbox One and PC platforms
