Watch Dogs: New Official E3 2012 Trailer And Release Date Revealed

Ubisoft’s upcoming open world, action-adventure title “Watch Dogs” has received a new E3 2012 trailer as well as a release date. Although the new trailer is seen running on PC, the company declined to say anything about the specifications needed to run it. Meanwhile, the company, via its Twitter account, has also revealed that the PC version of the game will only arrive in 2013.

The game actually looks pretty amazing with a dedicated multiplayer mode enabling players to get in or out of the game anytime they like.

“Watch Dogs” centers around the player's ability to hack into various electronic systems for his needs, either to accomplish their goals or to destroy them completely at specific times. There is mainly the use of hacking and surveillance with the game’s protagonist Aiden Pierce having the ability to use any device tied to the city's computer system as a weapon against it.

The storyline of “Watch Dogs” is built around the concept of Information warfare, data being interconnected, and the world's increasing use of technology, and questions about who exactly runs the computers on which the people depend upon. The game is set in a version of Chicago, Illinois (simply referred to as just the "Windy City"), which is one of many cities to feature a supercomputer known as a "ctOS" (Central Operating System).

The gameplay demo shown at E3 centered on Aiden's attempt to assassinate a media mogul named Joesph DeMarco, who had been wrongly acquitted on charges of murder.
