Just as it was when Android Marshmallow came out, smart phone manufacturers are scrambling to get the new Android OS, Android 7.0 Nougat. Companies would want to be the first to get the new Android OS out to their smart phones, and Sony is one of those that have already come out with its list of smart phones for Android Nougat.
On Sony's official blog site, the company has announced that Android Nougat would be coming out to select models of the Xperia line. These models include the Sony's new Xperia X line of smart phones. Some of the Xperia X phones that would have it are the Xperia X Performance, Xperia XA Ultra, Xperia XA and Xperia X.
Aside from the Xpreria X line, earlier Xperia lines would get Android Nougat. Foremost among this is the Xperia Z line headed by the Xperia Z5 Premium. The Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Compact would also be getting Android 7.0. Down the Xperia product line Sony has listed the Xperia Z4 tablet and the Xperia Z3+ as also among the Sony devices that would get Android Nougat.
Aside from Sony, some of the other smart phone manufacturers would also be getting Android Nougat. According to GSM Arena, HTC and Samsung would also get Android Nougat. HTC has confirmed that the HTC One A9, the HTC One M9 and the HTC 10 will be getting the new Android OS. That is apart from the Nexus smart phones which HTC will also roll out later this year.
Interestingly, Samsung has early on announced that some of its smart phones would be getting Android Nougat. When Android Marshmallow came out last year, Samsung took its time to announce which of its smart phones would be getting it, making some wonder if the company would even release Marshmallow to its smart phones. This year though it seems that Samsung is early in making its announcement.
Samsung has said that the Galaxy Note 7 will have Android Nougat in two to three months' time. Google has just released Android Nougat, having the new Android OS out a day after its previously announced date.
iTechPost earlier has said that Android Nougat would be out by the end of August.
