'The Flash' Season 3 News And Updates: Black Flash Confirmed To Be New Speedster Villain?

With the season three premiere getting closer, more updates have been revealed on "The Flash" and the occurrence in the Flashpoint universe. One of the things that could possibly retain in the season is Black Flash, otherwise known as Zoom during the last season.

Black Flash To Appear In The Flashpoint Universe

Although he has not yet confirmed it, "The Flash" executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said that it is highly likely that one villain from the second season will still be appearing on the upcoming third season. According to Christian Today, actor Teddy Sear may reprise his role as the speedster villain in the third season of the series, however, this time, he will no longer be called Zoom; he will be known as the Black Flash.

The change of name resulted from the change of events that will occur since Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) changed the timeline during the second season finale of "The Flash." As a recollection, Barry as The Flash altered the timeline he currently lives in by saving his mother from being murdered by the Reverse Flash when he was a child. This event led to an alternate universe being created, known as the Flashpoint.

Even though there are no immediate plans yet for Sears to reprise his role as the speedster villain, Kreisberg said that the fans will definitely be seeing him in the future. Aside from Black Flash, there are many other villains scheduled to make appearances in the third season of "The Flash" and some of the actors who played the roles even gave out their identity already.

Magenta And More Villains To Appear On The Series

According to Game and Guide, actress Joey King will be playing one of the villains in the Flashpoint universe, known as Magenta. She is also known as Frankie Kane who is a meta-human that has the power to control metal. She will be making her appearance on the series on the third episode of the upcoming season of "The Flash."
