Apple Inc Bombarded With Criticisms Before iPhone 7 Launch

Apple's launch of the much awaited iPhone 7 is just a few weeks away. Everyone knows that September is such an important month for iPhone users. This is because Apple launch its new phones at this month, year after year after year. However, amidst all excitement, Apple is facing some criticisms prior to its flagship launch.

It isn't a very unusual scenario for iPhones to get criticized for anything. Whether for it's price or it's comparison to powerful Android phones, Apple is never a stranger to these criticisms. However, what's not always usual is the fact that the criticisms came out just a few weeks before the next Apple flagship comes out.

iPhone's Problematic Design

So here's the newly pointed out iPhone problem: As reported by Forbes.com, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus handsets are experiencing a certain defect that affects the phones' touchscreen functions. As per the report, these handsets' touchscreens fail to function properly and a flickering bar shows up at the top end of the display.

As claimed by iFixit, there is an increasing number in iPhone units being reported to be defective. Both Apple forums and repair centers witnessed the increase in number of people claiming that their iPhones experience this problem.

Furthermore, iFixit says that the problem is in the touchscreen's chips that interpret the touch from the screen. As the device flexes, these chips slowly goes farther away from the circuit board causing the touchscreen problem in the iPhone. This problem is no longer present in the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus as these latter phones have these chips in a different location.

New iPhone 7 To Be Launched Soon

With the launch of the iPhone 7 coming very near us, it's hard to figure out whether or not this story could affect the sale of Apple's 2016 flagship. But it's interesting to know how Apple can make up for its previous imperfections. If the reports from TechRadar would turn out to be true, and the iPhone 7 would be released as a water-proof phone with a larger battery, maybe, just maybe, it can be concluded that the company indeed listens to their loyalists and continues to improve their products.
