Apple's upcoming smartphone unveiling of the new iPhone 7 is indeed taking the internet by storm. However, it is not enough to stop the also upcoming MacBook Pro from its tracks.
Ming Chu Kuo, an Apple analyst of KGI Securities, states that the new MacBook Pro would be "the most significant upgrade ever taken by Apple." One of the hottest gossips about the new MacBook is that it will feature an OLED touch bar.
The revolutionary idea means that the OLED touch sensitive feature will be placed above the keyboard and would then replace the physical function keys present in previous models. Because of the touch sensitive feature of the laptop, it has the option to change the button functions depending on what programs are being used.
The other feature that it will have that is sure to amaze people is its arguably thinner design. Obviously, the MacBook Pro is thicker than the MacBook Air. However, the new MacBook Pro is said to be even lighter and thinner than the MacBook Air ones.
Based on the statements of Kuo, Apple would incorporate the use of metal injection mould made hinges to support the keyboard. This supports the idea of making the MacBook Pro a thinner unit. Type-C ports will also be seen, making the idea of a thinner laptop more plausible.
Kuo also states that the popular Apple feature of Touch ID will also be featured in the new MacBook Pro. If this is true, then it would mean a more secure laptop for everyone.
The new MacBook Pro will be unveiled by the end of this year. However, Apple is still sticking to its reputation of being conservative on giving out official statements.
It is highly unlikely that the release of the iPhone 7 on September will be together with the release of the new MacBook Pro, making it more likely to estimate its release by the end of this year.
