Seven-time F1 world champion Michael Schumacher is a notable icon whose life and career are open to public. However, after his devastating skiing accident in French Alps in 2013, health updates of the famous racer are getting more limited especially recently.
His millions of supporters and the press are but speculating that his condition is deteriorating as his road to progress is slow. Ironically, there have been reports saying that Schumacher is able to walk now and he can manage a couple of steps with the aid of his therapists. This could be amazing news to everyone who is having high hopes that Michael can fully recover from massive head injuries that he sustained from the tragedy. However, neither his family nor his team of medical experts validated this rumor.
According to Grand Pix, recent reports featuring former Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo’s statement that suggests Michael Schumacher's condition is now improving is outdated. Spanish publication "El Mundo Deportivo" identified that Montezemolo's words "are not new, but date back to May 2016."
Also, Montezemolo's spokesperson informed foreign network Sky Italia that Schumacher's former boss had not released a statement about Schumacher's health condition for several months, and that the latest reports are "totally unfounded."
According to Aussie Network News, official updates about Michael’s health status should only come from a reliable source and that is Sabine Kehm. Kehm is Michael’s manager and the Schumacher's family's official spokesperson.
During the launch of Schumacher's football tribute "Champions for Charity" held at FSV Mainz's Coface Arena in Germany last month, Kehm explained that Schumacher's health condition details will remain confidential.
"We all know that I cannot comment, we just have to accept that the family wants to continue to protect their privacy, Kehm responded to Fox Sports.
“Of course, Michael will not disappear but at the moment the private situation is so difficult that unfortunately no insight can be given. There must be understanding for this," she added.
We can only wait and hope positively that Michael will surpass this difficult stage in his life.
