It feature a 3.54-inch HVGZ touch screen with an impressive 480x320 pixel resolution and a 5-megapixel flash-enabled rear-facing camera, along with a 4GB microSD that is already loaded with "Kung Fu Panda 2." The Activa 4G also accepts microSD cards up to 32GB in storage capacity. It also includes a VGA front facing camera that can be used in live video chat.
The Activa, is Huawei's first 4G phone with Long Term Evolution in the US and is the latest addition to the 4G lineup from MetroPCS.
The phone with prepaid features will be available for $149.0 after a time-limited offer of a mail-in rebate is received. This is seen as lower to middle price range for most 4G phones.
As with other 4G phones, the capability to surf the Web, download and watch movies in addition to email and taking pictures is now available in a single device. The only disadvantages noted are that the Active will not be able to use the Android 4.0 upgrade, and battery life may be a bit limited.
