The Chinese company Huawei has officially launched its millennial-targeting flagship phone Honor 8 in the European market.
Huawei 8 Arrives In Europe
It seems that Huawei really enjoys unveiling its high-spec, low-cost flagship Honor 8 phone. The company likes it so much that it already done it three times. According to GSM Arena, first announcement of Honor 8 took place in July, in China. Last week the budget mobile device was introduced in the United States and now is Eurozone's turn.
The high-tech Chinese company revealed the pricing of the budget handset in the Eurozone at a special event in Paris. Starting from August 24, two versions of Honor 8 will be available from selected online retailers. Starting at the end of September, the phone will become available on most carriers.
The base model 32 GB of storage and 4 GB of RAM and will come with a starting price of £369.99 in the UK and €399 in the Eurozone. The Honor 8 version with 64 GB of internal storage space and the same RAM amount will be priced at €449.
What Make The Honor 8 Special
According to International Business Times, the main attraction of the Chinese manufacturer's latest budget mobile device from a design perspective is its outstanding finish. The cut-price handset chassis is set into a diamond-cut metal frame and built from 15 layers of glass. The aesthetics of its build creates an eye-catching prism line effect. The phone looks incredible good for its budget price tag.
Out of the box, the Honor 8 runs Emotion UI 4.1 on top of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. In terms of specs, the 5.2-inch device features a 1080p Full HD LTPS display. It comes with a 12 megapixel dual-lens rear camera that features pro and slo-mo modes, HDR, a suite of filter effects and laser auto-focus. The handset also comes with an 8 megapixel front-facing selfies-camera.
The Honor 8 is powered by an octa-core Kirin 950 chipset that consumes less power than the Snapdragon 820 and other standard processors. The mobile device comes with 4 GB of RAM, expandable storage up to 128 GB via its microSD card slot, USB-C fast-charging tech and a 3000 mAh non-removable battery. The spec sheet is certainly impressive for a smartphone that comes in the price range below £400.
