The MacBook Pro 2016 is currently being rumored to start a major spec change. This upgrade will also apply to the next generations of Mac devices.
MacBook Pro 2016 Upgrade
News suggest that the MacBook Pro 2016 will come with an ultra-fast second gen USB 3.1.
According to a source, the macOS Sierra gave people a clue about the changes in Mac's USB 3.1 support. As per recent findings, a code for the super-fast USB has been seen at the beta version of the macOS.
It turns out that the new MacBook Pro 2016 will have a USB 3.1 support with a transfer speed of up to 10 GB/sec.
USB 3.1 in MacBook Pro 2016
Previously released Mac devices' USB 3.1 port only has a transfer speed of up to 5 GB /sec.
The OS X El Capitan does not support a 10 GB/sec speed on its port. Thus, it is safe to say that this ultra-speed USB 3.1 will start with the upcoming MacBook Pro 2016 and will be incorporated in all of the next MacBook devices as well.
Apple's Innovation In MacBooks
History can tell you that Apple is in no way selfish in bringing its Mac patrons the latest when it comes to USB and Thunderbolt ports.
This makes the addition of the 10 GB/sec USB 3.1 not a big shocker at all.
With that, the rumored Thunderbolt 3 for the MacBook Pro is also not a big impossibility. The addition of the Thunderbolt 3 is also a positive thing since it can support the DisplayPort 1.2 as well the 10 GB/sec USB 3.1.
MacBook Pro 2016 Specs
Just a couple of weeks ago it was mentioned that the MacBook Pro 2016 will sport a small touchscreen with OLED display. This display will act as the top function keys.
The rumored touchscreen is also backed up by the codes discovered in the macOS Sierra.
MacBook Pro 2016 release date
No official statement from Apple yet, but rumors suggest a late 2016 launch. It is probably somewhere around October and November.
