ChangYou has revealed a new ‘weapons’ trailer for its brand new online multiplayer first-person shooter “Renaissance Heroes,” developed by Bridea and published in North America by ChangYou (US)
The game is set in the wonderfully re-imagined world of the 16th century Renaissance Europe and combines classic multiplayer action with unparalleled visual realism.
“Renaissance Heroes” is powered by the Unreal Engine 3 technology to deliver the fun of fast-action shooters to a new generation of gamers. The game is about hunting down the blueprints of Leonardo Da Vinci’s Da Vinci machine.
“In what was to be the last year of his life, Leonardo left Italy for the French countryside. There, he worked upon his greatest creation yet. He never named the mysterious contraption, but his students took to calling it the Da Vinci Machine. Initially, he had planned to create an alchemical weapon, but Leonardo made an astounding discovery—that with the Machine, man could travel through time and space,” says the game’s official page. “Given that power, he could change anything. He could destroy the Church before it even began and create a society founded on reason and logic, not superstition and faith. All he needed to do was create the mechanism.”
The Closed Beta of the game is set to include eight stunning maps inspired by real historical and geographic locations, such as Leonardo da Vinci’s worshop in Milano, the Medici family’s Villa in Firenze and the Sultan’s palace in Constantinople. There are as many as three game modes including frantic free for all combat, intense team vs. team battles and 1v1 Duels.
Moreover, there are as many as four characters there in the game each of whom comes with its own unique combat specialties and story motivations, daily quests and over 100 achievements and the Rage Mode (that will give you extra combat power and survivability when you need it the most).
Renaissance Heroes will be a free-to-play title that will hit PC later this year.
