Samsung Galaxy Note Lookalike Launches In China

The first-ever Galaxy Note imitation has been launched in the Chinese market by Ainol, a popular Chinese smartphone manufacturer, CNET reports.

The latest 5-inch smartphone was unleashed at the PC Show tech fair and as reported by the CNET reporter, the device, which is simply called Android, runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, features a WVGA screen, mobile TV tuner, dual SIM cards, a 2500mAh battery and a microUSB port.

The new 'Android' smartphone also features an intriguing user interface (UI) that has resemblance with HTC's Sense UI and also features the same "3D box effect" while scrolling through the homescreens.

Additionally, 'Android' comes with a very reasonable price tag of just S$279 (US$218), one third of the price of Galaxy Note.

Meanwhile, Galaxy Note is one of the biggest hit smartphone of the Korean electronics giant, Samsung. The company reportedly has sold five million Galaxy Note units globally in just five months after its launch in October.

While the 5.3-inch size of the new smartphone (popularly called phablet for its tablet size and of smartphones features) has always been the USP of the Note, the phone also packs in stunning features like AMOLED display, 1.5 GHz Scorpion dual-core processor, Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, 8 megapixels rear camera, 2 MP front camera, 16GB storage, 1 GB RAM, S Pen stylus for sketching and making notes and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Li-Ion 2500 mAh and AT&T's 4G LTE connectivity.

The new Chinese 'Android' phone, however, does not sport all these features but the reasonable pricing will surely keep the smartphone lovers enthused about the phone.
