‘The Originals’ Season 4 News & Updates: Nina Dobrev Not Eager To Work With Ian Somerhalder, Ex Couple's Feud Affects Their Jobs

The bad blood between former couple Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder is getting more intense as the former snubs the idea of working with the latter should “The Originals” season 4 requires their duo romance on screen.

To recall, Ian refused bluntly when asked about the possible comeback of Nina on the finale of “The Vampire Diaries.” The potential reunion could create chaos with Ian’s marriage to Nikki Reed as Reed is reported to be extremely jealous of possible love scenes between her husband and ex girlfriend Nina Dobrev.

Arguably, Nina’s character in “The Vampire Diaries” is integral especially her romance with Damon that raked a huge success for the show. To prevent further damage to the stars and their jobs, rumors say that Nina is better casted in “The Originals,” a spin – off series of TVD.

Celeb Dirty Laundry noted that Julie Plec, showrunner for both CW drama shows is biting the risks and pressures. She intends to reunite Katherine Pierce (Elena Gilbert’s doppelganger) and Damon Salvatore which means that eventually Ian Somerhalder might join the cast of “The Originals.” Plec’s mission seems to hit the impossible as both stars already professed their unwillingness to work with each other despite the online petitions of their long – time supporters.

If this dream pair makes it, both shows will not only invest millions of viewers for their success but they will surely satisfy the hearts’ desires of their fans.

As of this writing, we can only hope for a win – win situation for the two famous series and a peaceful end to the controversial rift of Nina and Ian.

Meanwhile, Paul Wesley will be joining Somerhalder for cameo appearances in the fourth installment of “The Originals”. The modern vampires are two relevant characters on the hit series, expected to unveil loads of mysteries surrounding the storyline of the show.
