Joining the hype of Pokemon Go, a new member is added to the ever cute lineup of teddy bears by Build-A-Bear Workshop.
Eevee is announced to join the crew! Like other Build-A-Bear Teddys, you can also dress up the Pokemon to your liking and collect versions of it. Starting Sept. 1, you can start building your very own Eevee on Build-A-Bear workshop near you, as reported by Pokeshopper. The most exciting part is that you can change Eevee into its many evolutions!
Further, ComicBook.com states that part of the original 150 Pokemon, Eevee has remained popular among Pokemon trainers and fans over its years of existence. Eevee is also one of the top ten cutest video game characters of all time, even featured in many Japanese merchandise, sporting different 'Eeveelution' outfits. Eevee's unbearable cuteness and the ability to evolve multiple ways makes it a perfect fit as addition to the Build-A-Bear franchise.
Offering a plethora of plush toys, Build-A-Bear has surpassed 400 stores worldwide, their main attraction: toys that you can stuff then dress yourself. Their first Pokemon was Pikachu, which they acquired last year which has the option to wear a Charizard or a Pokeball costume. The company then added shirts to its Pokemon line to commemorate Pokemon's 20th year.
The store first got into the Pokemon business last year, when the company released a Pikachu. The online-purchase version of Pikachu Build-A-Bear came with a sound gadget that plays Pikachu sounds and also with a special edition Pokemon Trading Card - which will also be applied to Eevee, pretty exciting huh?
The new Eevee plush will have similar purchase options to Build-A-Bear's Pikachu. Fans can either buy a pre-stuffed Eevee online that comes with an exclusive Pokemon Trading Card and outfit or purchase the Eevee plush with an optional outfit in physical stores.
How much is it?
No word yet from the Build-A-Bear but based on the Pikachu version, it will more or less cost $28 for the plush toy alone and $60 for the 'web exclusive'.
