The highly anticipated release of the new Google Nexus devices is approaching fast and fans couldn't get any excited. This is after alleged prices and renders have been leaked online, revealing the possible specs of the said devices.
How Much Will It Cost?
According to Phone Arena, the two Google Nexus 2016 devices are being produced by HTC and will go by the name Marlin and Sailfish. It has been reported that the two will be sold slightly higher than the previous models. The 32GB model of Google Nexus Marlin will be sold for $599, while the Nexus Sailfish for $499.
What It Looks Like?
As reported by Android Headlines, there were images leaked online that revealed the aesthetics of the Google Nexus devices. The HTC Marlin and Sailfish phones are made of metallic frame placed between two sheets of glass. With a 5-inch display, it can showcase a full HD (1920x1080) display. The said devices also run with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 and 64-bit quad-core SoC as well as Adreno 530 GPU.
Fans can also expect to see the familiar power/lock button and volume rocker keys placed on the right-hand side, similar to that of Nexus 5X and 6P. There is also a fingerprint scanner at the back of the device. When it comes to camera, the devices feature a 13 megapixel rear camera and 8 megapixel front facing camera.
A 3.55mm headphone jack will be present on top of the phone while the speakers will be at the bottom. It also comes with a 2,770mAh battery, decent enough for everyday use. Both HTC Marlin and Sailfish comes in various colors including silver, black and gold.
The Google Nexus 2016 devices will possibly come with pre-installed Android 7.1 Nougat. Expected release will be October this year.
