‘Marco Polo’ Season 3 News & Updates: Benedict Wong Causes Production Delay; Show’s Renewal Not In The Works

“Marco Polo” series renewal for its third installment is still in the dark as Netflix and show creator John Fusco have not yet dropped major hints about the continuation of the historical drama. Another potential reason for the impending season is Benedict Wong’s causing production challenges.

Previous report of iTech Post mentioned that “Marco Polo,” if not retained by Netflix, will make its return to another network. Also, the famous show earned its success with a relevant rating of 8.1 out of 10 from at least 40,000 viewers.

Netflix should consider the given statistics otherwise, the series will make its way to other networks that can keep them instead.

Ironically, GamenGuide mentioned that the show is rumored to be cancelled due to its low ratings and limited budget allocation.

Arguably, the series is one of the most costly shows of Netflix. To maintain its standards of excellence from production to professional fees of its cast and crew is a situation that really calls for a consistent stable funding. Hopefully, Netflix would be able to iron out such demands in maintaining an expensive series.

The Venetian merchant – inspired series deserves the lavish treatment after all.

Adding to the potential abrupt ending of “Marco Polo” is its main character Benedict Wong. The actor has been busy juggling his commitments that include his major role in Marvel’s “Doctor Strange” slated for a November release.

Despite Wong’s affirmation to reprise his Kublai Khan character in the series, rumors say that the production of season 3 might be delayed as Wong’s time and attention might be interrupted of his hectic schedule.

Fans are hoping to witness “Marco Polo” season 3 on their tv screens the soonest time possible. All the drama, action and historical aspects of the show are greatly missed.

What do you think Netflix and showrunner Fusco?
