Ever since its first reveal in Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Sony has been not so generous in giving out any details regarding God of War 4. But of course, that didn't stop the fans from speculating. Heck, even the tech giant's creative director Cory Barlog didn't escape the ever-curious players in social media sites. Fast forward to today, it has been made known that the game will actually feature over 100 hours of gameplay. Aside from that, there will be no mini games of sort.
Previous reports about God of War 4 mentioned about the game featuring only a total of 100 hours gameplay. And indeed, this somehow didn't sit well to most fans. Most, if not all of them, were expecting a little more from such figure. Fortunately though, Barlog finally shed some light about it.
Via Twitter, Barlog pointed out that God of War 4 will not be a game of 100 hours length. That instead, it'll cover more and will be as "action packed as humanly as possible." Without a doubt, this put all the rumors about the game's length into rest.
With such statement, it's safe to say that God of War 4 will veer away from the usual hands-off cinematic experience. Barlog also mentioned about the game having to feature a good number of on-screen enemies and whatnots, which are things that would make a player's hands so sweaty.
Also on the same social media site, a God of War 4 fan asked Barlog about mini games having an impact in the upcoming title. The 40-year-old creative director at Sony replied with a no, stating that such feature won't exist in the soon-to-be-released game. And instead, they plan to mix things up, offering a new kind of excitement for the fans.
God of War 4 is slated to hit the shelves come 2017, with not specific release date as of yet. It'll be made available exclusively for PS4.
