'Pokemon Sun and Moon' Update: Get A Free Munchlax, Introducing Rattata’s Alola Form And A New Pokemon

Pokemon Sun and Moon fever is still on the tracks! Nintendo has incorporated a special Munchlax for the game upon its release on Fall. The players can download the Pokemon until January 11, 2017, should they obtain the game during its release day.

The Pokemon franchise added a special feature of a Munchlax that is holding Snorlium Z. Since Munchlax is just a normal-type Pokemon, it is now given the chance to evolve into Snorlax. When Snorlax evolves, it is ready to unleash Z-Moves which can transform it from a gigantic and sleepy Pokemon into an even stronger Pokemon. The Pulverizing Pancake attack is Snorlax's hidden strength which can be unleashed through the Snorlium Z crystal along with the new Z-Ring accessory. The Hold Back and Happy Hours moves that are added to the special Munchlax can lower down opponent Pokemon to 1HP and an award for every battle that a trainer will win. This sleep-loving Pokemon has finally awakened after 20 years of lying down.

According to Polygon, Rattata which is a classic normal-type rat Pokemon will have a new characteristic. There will be an Alola variant of Rattata. It can stand upright with its purple fur that can turn into black. This is Rattata's form of defense mechanism to protect itself from weasel Pokemon Yungoos. Raichu's Alola is equipped with an Electric-Type Z Move called Stoked Sparksurfer. Teasers of the Pokemon Sun and Moon also show that more features will be soon added aside from the Alola forms and the Z-Moves.

There is also a new Pokemon Pyukumuku which has its own minigame. In this game, players should throw beached creatures back into the water as many as they can within a given period of time. Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon are set to be exclusively released for Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo 2DS on November 18, 2016.
