There have also been speculations that the release of "The Winds of Winter" has been delayed due to allegations that it may be released simultaneously with the seventh installment entitled, "A Dream of Spring," although this hasn't been confirmed by the author himself. He did however admit to being a slow writer, hence the long wait of the next book.
