'NBA 2K17' Update: Actor Michael B. Jordan To Appear In MyCareer Mode

2K Sports is bringing various surprises every year for their NBA 2K games. With this year's upcoming NBA 2K17, the company assures players to expect more changes to the game, player movements, graphics, environment and more. 2K is always committed to one of their main goals in making their games closer to reality year after year. Currently, the gaming company is adding another Hollywood personality to star in the game's MyCareer mode. Based on the sources, the said personality is no other than Creed's star Michael B. Jordan.

According to IGN, the 29 year-old actor will play the role of Justice Young, a future NBA star who will become your created MyCareer player's friend, as well as it seems the source of several story choices of the game's mode. It was rumored that this year's MyCareer mode seems to be a lot different from last year's version of MyCareer. Compared to last year's version, it showcases a stiffer storyline and a set lead character while NBA 2K17's MyCareeer will revolve around the two characters composed of Jordan and your virtual version. As 2K announced today, the storyline will focus on friendship.

As Polygon reported, Michael B. Jordan is considered as one of the film industry's hottest young talent. Last year, he stars in the franchise-reviving turn in the latest Rocky film, "Creed." Shortly, he is set to have a reunion movie with Creed's director Ryan Coogler for the upcoming Marvel's Black Panther. Jordan will play the role of a supervillain as Erik Killmonger. He is also known for his works on the much-admired TV shows "The Wire" and "Friday Night Lights" while having his breakout role in "Fruitvale Station" in 2013.

In addition, Jordan shares his sentiments on the break. He said during the interview that he is "humbled for the opportunity" and added that he has been a passionate fan of the franchise ever since. Aside from rendering his voice for the character, Jordan have also done motion-capture work for the upcoming game. On the other hand, senior producer Ben Bishop revealed that this year's MyCareer will feature dual player controls for the first time. He also dubbed the latest version of the game mode as "like an antidote" to last year.
