IFA 2016 has revealed new smartphones from several manufacturers this year. Lenovo isn't one to be left behind, as the tech giant unveiled three new smartphones for consumers. These new Lenovo smartphones are aimed at the mid-range market, which makes up a significant part of the market.
Lenovo has three new offerings in the form of the Lenovo K6, K6 Power and K6 Note. Unlike most other smartphone manufacturers, Lenovo has opted to go after the mid-range segment of the market with the three new phones. All three of them have the Snapdragon 430 for their processor, GSM Arena reports.
What differs among the three are its other specs. Notably its storage and RAM differ from each other. The Lenovo K6 comes with a choice of 16GB or 32GB of storage plus 2GB RAM. The K6 Power has a choice of either a 16GB storage and 2GB RAM or a 32GB storage and 3GB RAM. The K6 Note has 32GB storage but can either have 3GB or 4GB RAM.
As to their sizes, the Lenovo K6 and K6 Power come with 5 inch displays while the K6 Note is much larger with a 5.5 inch display, according to Phone Arena. The Lenovo K6 and K6 Power also share the same camera with a 13MP rear camera. The K6 Note has a 16MP rear camera. All three models have an 8MP front camera.
Dual SIM smart phones are becoming more common. In Asia they have been a staple there for many years now, while the feature is becoming more prevalent in the West as well. The new Lenovo smart phones take advantage of this as they have Dual SIM support. All three also have microSD support for additional storage. As for the OS, all will run Android Marshmallow.
GSM Arena states that the Lenovo K6 line will have its price between 150 to 230 Euros though that might not be the final price range yet for the new smart phones. The release schedule for the devices will differ, with the Lenovo K6 coming out within two weeks while the K6 Power might be out by October. The K6 Note will likely see release by November.
Lenovo has its new smart phones out, while iTechPost reports of the Motorola Moto Z and Moto Z Play coming to the U.S. and U.K. as well.
