'Gears Of War 4' Horde Mode Brings Character Classes, Defensive Structures; Boss Fights Available After 10 Waves

"Gears Of War 4" game developer The Coalition recently revealed some "Gears of War 4" Horde mode details through the new gameplay trailer. The new trailer highlighted character classes, defensive structure and the their special abilities.

The "Gears of War 4" trailer revealed that multiple character classes will be added into the game. The new character classes include the Engineer, the Sniper, the Scout, the Soldier and the Heavy.

More defensive structures are also expected to be included in "Gears of War 4" Horde mode. Players are suggested to have the ability to build, fight and survive against the 50 waves of enemies in the game. The mode also supports co-op multiplayer that can be filled up by up to five players.

Furthermore, players are reportedly allowed to fight against the increasingly challenging enemies and later be involved in the "Gears Of War 4" boss fight. However, players can only encounter boss fights after every 10 waves.

The Coalition also announced that there will be many character classes added in the "Gears of War 4" horde mode. Each character classes are expected to possess their own unique abilities, weapons and skill sets. Moreover, each characters can also be utilized by players to defend their lines.

Apart from the additional features in "Gears of War 4," the developer also revealed the biggest change with the Horde mode, the Fabricator tool. This tool is expected to possibly allow players create and deploy defence strategies, weapons and turrets on the map.

Additionally, "Gears of War 4" will also equip Gear Cards which will bring bonuses to players. Such bonuses can lead to player upgrades that would allow them to carry more ammo and improve damage rate or their weapons.

"Gears of War 4" is said to feature the soundtrack "Panther Like a Panther" from the Run the Jewels 3 album. The Coalition is slated to launch the game on Oct. 11 which will be available on Xbox One and PC. The game is also expected to be playable at PAX West 2016.
