Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs – New Teaser Trailer Revealed

Helsingborg, Sweden-based publisher Frictional Games has released the first teaser trailer for its upcoming survival horror video game “Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs” which is an indirect sequel to “Amnesia: The Dark Descent.”

While the game is set in the same universe as the previous game, it will feature an entirely new cast of characters and time setting. It will be a similar psychological horror game from a first-person perspective.

It has also been confirmed that some elements of “The Dark Descent” have been taken out, while other new elements have been added. One simple reason for this is to provide a fresh gameplay experience to even the seasoned players of The Dark Descent.

According to the game’s official page, “The year is 1899. Wealthy industrialist Oswald Mandus has returned home from a disastrous expedition to Mexico, which has ended in tragedy. Wracked by fever, haunted by dreams of a dark machine, he recovers consciousness in his own bed, with no idea of how much time has passed since his last memory. As he struggles to his feet, somewhere beneath him, an engine splutters, coughs, roars into life...”

Although no release date has been set for the game, it is expected to ship before Halloween 2012.
